12 days since the last review, and I was hanging out for another burger, so I made my way down to “Mick Adams Burger Bar” in Oakleigh – corner location and a nice, spacious place, with lots of seating too.
There is a good selection of burgers to choose from, and given I was feeling particularly hungry, went straight for “The Big T” – two premium beef patties, double cheddar, pickles, cos lettuce, tomato, aioli and ketchup. This was a really good burger. The meat was very tasty, and there was a good mix of other ingredients too without anything being too over powering. The only problem was that it seemed to lack that x-factor. It didn’t jump up off the plate and slap my in the face, you know? There was no “OMG – that was an amazing burger!!” experience, but it was very satisfying all the same.
However, if you’re looking for some good chips, I suggest you try somewhere else. These were tasteless and reminiscent of a bag of plain chips baked in the oven at home. Ugh!
This place is definitely worth trying for yourself, and one that I would revisit to try again too.
