The last time I went to Dandenong Pavilion, was more than 3 years ago. It was when I first started the Great Burger Caper, and to be honest was only just starting to find my feet, so to speak, trying and comparing different burgers. Therefore, I was so pleased to finally be getting back to try out their burgers again and this time, with a much greater appreciation for what makes up a good burger.
I still love that you have to ask for the secret burger menu!! And this time, I decided to order “The Glasser” burger – two beef patties, melted double cheddar cheese, maple bacon, battered onion rings, pickles, homemade relish & American mustard in a brioche bun, and given I wanted to make the most of my long awaited visit, I added a Mac & cheese croquette too!
My excitement level was high as I waited for my meal, and finally it arrived. This burger looked good. Very good! And it had a taste to back it up too. The meat was amazing and full of so much flavour. The bacon and relish were divine. The mac n cheese topped it off perfectly and the brioche bun was one of the best. This was a seriously good burger and I loved every bite of it too!
Chips on the side were good, and when it was all washed down with a pint of Furphy, the package was complete!
Put simply, if you’re looking for a great burger experience, then I suggest you make your way to “the Pav” – you won’t regret it!!
