Its been a while between burgers, but todays review is on a little beauty that doesn’t disappoint! The Merrywell is located on Southbank at Crown Casino, and boasts the titles of Best Burger of 2012 and 2013!! An American inspired restaurant, it provides something for everyone with a casual Burger Bar downstairs that’s open during the day, and at night the upstairs restaurant is a great dining experience which includes a more extensive menu to satisfy a variety of tastes.
I went upstairs and was not about to go past the aptly named “Merrywell Burger” – patty, BTL, cheddar, onion, pickles, special sauce, ketchup and mustard. The bun is so soft – it’s like the ingredients have been gently placed between 2 pillows!! It’s a perfectly sized burger too – easy to hold, not messy and just enough to satisfy your burger craving without making you feel too full!
Fries on the side were pretty good, and washing it all down with a few cold beers made for an all round great experience!
This burger was fantastic and definitely worth a visit to try for yourself.
