Todays adventure saw me saddle up, get out in the glorious sunshine and head to NSHRY (pronounced “noshery”) on Beaconsfield Parade in Albert Park.

Ordered the “Umami Burger” which is #5 on the Herald Suns top 10 list, and I found out why!

Its a 200g Wagyu and Angus Beef patty, medium rare, with brown mushroom sauce, caramelised onions, oven roasted tomato and parmesan crisp, between a soft brioche bun. Whilst not a “traditional” burger given no lettuce, bacon, egg, etc, it could be touted as “gourmet” and in a class of its own.

The quality of the meat is sensational, and together with the flavours of the mushroom, tomato and onion makes for a great combo. Plus the parmesan crisp may have actually been sent down from heaven because I could not get over how good it tasted! *sigh*

Burger is served with dips, pickles, slaw and thick chips – which are very good too.

Not cheap at $22, but you’re paying a premium for the view across the water!

Well worth the trip.
